This week's post will be a brief one; I've been so caught up with school and personal issues that I had to put posting consistently on the back burner. Being comfortable is a vital factor I take into account when putting together an outfit. Admittedly, I find this outfit to be slightly comfortable, I cannot rave over how great it is, but I also cannot deny that it has its perks.
As mentioned in a previous post, I have been loving the entire layering trend. I think it's a great way to combine pieces from two separate seasons and combining them to produce this sort of "hybrid-season" outfit. I would say that this outfit would be a hybrid-season of both fall and winter, but of course you may disagree as this outfit does lean more towards being a winter outfit.
Jumping into the pieces, I'll start with speaking on the bottom layer. The trick to layering pieces is to have some sort of basic bottom layer. I chose to start this outfit with a basic body-fitting black shirt. I especially I like this shirt of its line detailing throughout the shirt, I feel that it adds a little more texture to the entire look.

For the top layer, I decided to wear this turtleneck sweater dress I purchased from Forever 21 a few years ago. This has to be one of my favourite pieces I own as it's such a comfortable dress that can be dressed up and down. For this particular outfit I dress it down. The silhouette is very flattering and loose and the large pockets make it convenient to carry things, making this dress one of my favourites. You can find me wearing this outfit most often in lecture as it's very easy to put together. I do like pairing my Chelsea boots with this fit because let's be real, Chelsea boots go with everything!
That's essentially all for this post. I apologise for how short and late it is, but in the next few weeks I will be posting all the posts I had planned for the time I was away. So I will surely see you next week for a new post!
