For some reason mother nature wants to throw Vancouver a curve-ball and has made it snow again (insert my tears of dismay here). Just when I thought the weather was starting to improve, it started to snow and has become cold here once again.
Originally, I was going to feature an outfit that was a little more "light-weight," however the cold weather has got me wanting to bundle up and stay at home. Of course there's things to do, meaning I can't stay home and be unproductive. So instead, I decided to share a very basic and casual outfit that I like to wear on days when I have to run some errands and am out of my house in general.
Starting from the top, this year I have been wearing a lot of turtle neck sweaters and shirts. I guess I always gravitate towards them because they never fail to keep me warm. For this outfit, I featured this "body-con" turtle neck sweater that I bought from Forever 21. What attracted me to this sweater was the neutral colour-palette and the surprisingly thick material.
Now I was not able to get a good picture of the jeans, however they are the same ones I featured in my mom jeans post that you can find here. To contrast the tight fitting sweater I'm wearing, I decided to wear my favourite pair of mom jeans that is also from Forever 21. Overall, I really like how the mom jeans dresses down the sweater and gives off a very laid-back 90s feel. Plus, these mom jeans are very comfortable and very practical to wear on those days when I'm on the go.
If you're not a fan of mom jeans, I feel that any type of high-waisted jean would pair well with this sweater. If you're feeling a little more fancy/formal, a pair of black culottes looks amazing with this look too!
Be it going to school, going to a party, or anywhere in general; I always grab my Chelsea boots! I think by now you all know that I simply adore Chelsea boots as I've raved about them in many of my previous posts. So it's no surprise for me to reach for these beauties to feature with this outfit.
