Will You Be My Valentine?

11:00

Although this year I don't have a Valentine (like every other year), I still felt it was appropriate to feature an outfit that can be worn for the occasion! Whether you're going on a date or going out with your girlfriends, this outfit is one that can work well for any event.

When I think of Valentine's day, I always imagine myself dressing up more on the girly side. Going through my closet, I came across this floral dress and immediately thought it fit well with the theme of Valentine's Day.

In terms of where I got this dress, I believe I purchased it at a department store a few years ago. If you are interested in finding something similar to this, you will definitely find something of this style at many retail stores.

No outfit feels complete without something bold to go along with it. I wear this beige leather jacket to add a little of my personality into this entire outfit. I absolutely love how this jacket looks and how versatile it is. Although the colour does make it difficult to pair with many outfits, it definitely does a good job pairing with any kind of print! For those who are interested I believe I purchased this jacket at Charming Charlie a few years ago.

In terms of accessories, I did not want to overdue it. Staying on the theme of Valentine's Day, I chose to wear this gold heart beat necklace that I bought from Charming Charlie. I very much like shorter necklaces as opposed to long necklaces because I feel that they help compliment my collarbones better (I don't even know if that makes sense LOL).

For arm candy, I wore this pretty rose gold screw bracelet that I also purchased at Charming Charlie. I know that mixing jewelry colours is a little risky, but I wanted to take the risk and try it out. I was pretty surprised that the pairing looked good! So if there's anything I'd tell you guys to try this year, it's to try mixing jewelry colours.

Anyways, I know that this post went live a little late this week. Honestly, this week was a rough week for myself as I had a lot of things happening at once. I hope that you guys can understand. But, do not worry! I will be back on my regular schedule with a brand new post! Take care until then.
