If you haven't noticed already, I have a huge obsession with shoes. A single pair can gradually change up your entire look; meaning they can make or break your outfit. One of the biggest components I look for in my shoes is if they're comfortable and fit in with multiple pieces from my closet. If I'm able to find shoes like that, price is no longer an issue because I'll buy those shoes no matter what.

Sometime last year I started my hunt for the perfect "chunky" black sandals that I could wear for the summer time. After a long search, I came across these black sandals (shown in the picture above). Although they are not really chunky, they almost fall under the same category. I can't say that when I found these sandals I instantly fell in love, but after not being able to find a pair I really I wanted, I settled for these.

I was on the fence with these when I made my purchase, especially because they were around $60 (this was a little pricey for a broke high school student at the time). However, when I tried them on again at home I realized that these shoes were very light weight; it literally felt like I was not wearing anything. This was a good thing in my books because they felt very comfortable. I'm able to go anywhere in these shoes and not worry about getting blisters or sore feet.

When I made my purchase, it was originally just for the way they looked. You can never go wrong with a pair of black sandals. When it gets warmer in Vancouver I wear these sandals with everything. The simplicity of the sandals makes it easy for me to dress it up or down. Personally, I like to wear patterns with them because I find that they balance out my entire outfit.

There is not much I can say about these sandals, but trust me when I say that they really have changed up my entire wardrobe. I absolutely love them and will continue to love them for the days to come. I highly recommend you guys try purchasing a pair of good quality black chunky sandals because they are definitely one of my closet staples and you won't regret it. Just beware that a good pair can be hard to come by, but when you find the perfect pair you will realise that the search was worth it!
