Paper Reinforcements Can Do Much More
18:08I am a huge fan of nail art. For years now I have been trying out new styles and learning how to master my own skill when it comes to doing nails. Being able to draw new patterns and designs has given me the power to express myself and show others my own style.
Lately more simple and sleek designs have been trending. I came across this design while scrolling through Tumblr and instantly fell in love; so I grabbed my nail art pen and viola! I achieved this simple yet classy nail look.
Anyone can simply do this with a nail art pen, however I remembered the time when I was just getting into nail art and had no tools; I pretty much just had nail polish. I used to suck at drawing on my nails, I couldn't even do simple designs for a while. With these memories, I started thinking: how could I make this simple nail art design easier to achieve for people who are beginners?
After much thinking I found paper reinforcements! Yes, paper reinforcements. You can find these at any stationary or craft store for an affordable price that is less than $3.00. All you have to do is take one reinforcement and place it on your nail that has no nail polish on it (it is your choice to apply a clear base coat), leaving some space between the lower and upper part of your nail. When the reinforcement is placed in a preferable spot, grab any black nail polish (actually you can use any colour you like, I just thought this design looked best in black) and carefully paint over your entire nail as you normally would. Apply two coats of nail polish if necessary and wait for the polish to dry WITH the reinforcement still on your nail, if you don't let your polish dry you could risk smudging the polish whilst peeling off the reinforcement. After your nails are fully dry carefully peel off the reinforcements. Apply a top coat to insure your design lasts for a while. And there you have it! An easy and chic design that can be worn for any occasion!
