Take Me On a Date

11:00

It’s finally Valentine’s day, meaning it’s time for me to grab a tub of ice-cream and weep while watching romantic comedies on Netflix... Just kidding! (No I’m not joking, this is literally my life.)

In spirit of Valentine’s Day I have put together this romantic outfit that can be worn and easily altered for any situation. Depending on where you live and how the weather is, you may want to add a coat. I would recommend wearing a tan or beige trench coat.

I will start off with talking about the main piece, which is the dress. While thrifting in California I was able to nab this gorgeous dress. It's floral design works well with the romantic theme of Valentine's Day. Also, the dress can work well with any body type, helping anyone look a little more elegant.

Depending on where you go and what you decide to do, you may want to wear more practical shoes. I chose these nude wedges from Call It Spring as I found them to compliment the floral dress well with it’s rosy-tone. If heels are not an option for you, any nude sandal would work. Personally I would choose to wear a pair of nude lace oxfords as it gives off more of a sophisticated vibe as well as complementing the hat.

No outfit is complete without a hat in my world. This floppy hat from Ever New Melbourne compliments the floral and girly theme of this entire outfit. It also adds a little more elegance, making you ready to want to go drink some tea. My only warning about floppy hats is to be cautious about size. Personally I love big hats, however sometimes I find extremely floppy hats to be annoying as they block my vision.

Last but definitely not the least are accessories. At first I thought this  outfit would look good with rose-gold, however when trying to match my rose-gold accessories with this outfit I found that it warmed up the outfit quite a bit. If you like warm-toned outfits then rose-gold accessories are the way to go. I personally like cooler-toned outfits as it compliments my skin-tone better. Hence why I chose these silver bracelets to cool things down. I found both bracelets from Charming Charlie.

This outfit does not specifically have to be worn for Valentine's Day. You can wear this any day for any occasion, go ahead and wear it to the grocery store!

Happy Valentine's Day! <3
